Lasertag is a fun, team -based game of skill appropriate for players from 6 years of age on up. You can think of it as high-tech flashlight tag or paintball without the pain and mess. In the standard game, players are challenged to make the most "tags" on the other team. The team with the most amount of "tags" wins! Capture the flag is another classic game format. There are also several Special Missions (game variations) such as Shadows, Tag, Death Match, Space Marines and more. During these Special Missions, you can receive special power-ups and abilities. These abilities can help you complete mission objectives and win the game.
Each game takes 15 minutes including some time for an explanation of the game, dividing into teams and equipping yourself with Lasertag gear. Actual playing time is 10-12 minutes.
Each team member is equipped with a vest and a phaser. The vest covers both sides of the player's body and is equipped with sensors on the front, back and shoulders. These sensors are highly sensitive and pick up the laser beams when they are hit. Each player is also equipped with a phaser. The phaser emitts a beam of light that can be used to aim at other players. When the beam of light hits another player, they become "tagged" and become inoperative for a set amount of time. Being tagged causes no pain. It's all fun! After being tagged, the player may still move but may not fire their phaser. After the set amount of time, the player's vest is then reactivated, and they may resume play.
The lasertag arena is a highly interactive play area. It's full of fun effects including fog, black lights, multi-levels, and creative decorations. Every arena is different, but Lasertag Adventure's will host up to 40 players at one time. The arena has approximately 7500 sq feet of multi-level playing area, making the largest lasertag arena in Wisconsin.
At the end of your mission you will receive a scoresheet that shows vital game statistics including points, opponents you tagged, opponents that tagged you and several other key pieces of information. Study this well and make adjustment to your game to improve your score.
